My uncle Padu Lampe, 'the Aruban cultural father' is real family from my mother's side, just like my uncle Cola Debrot, writer, doctor and Governor of the Dutch Antilles, is family from my fathers side. It seems I was born with artistic roots from both sides
I am in the first place an artist-painter, sculptor, drawer and monumental designer. My artwork, according to critics and authorities, seem to realize a bridge function between Aruba, the Dutch Antilles and Holland.
Dutch Caribbean culture, music, religion and the Orange House are my constant inspiration sources at this moment in time. In Holland I am seen as one of the most important artists of our Kingdom overseas.
My roots are in Aruba and the Caribbean.
Portrait painting is my speciality.
